May Summary

May was an exciting month for us and so moving forward we’ll be putting all of the important updates we’d like to share in a monthly newsletter.

IronMarket Investment Management:

Clients of our discretionary managed portfolios will have received their statements recently, covering the first quarter of 2018 and what a great period of time to see the value in paying for such a service.

We saw global stock markets tumble, with the FTSE 100 falling by almost 10% at its worst. However, due to some tactical and strategic decisions taken by the Investment Management team late in 2017, we were able to safeguard the portfolios from the full extent of the market fall whilst still being positioned to take advantage of the subsequent rebound and deliver some significant outperformance year to date.

At this time, it’s really important to reiterate the additional offering of an ‘in-house’ rather than ‘outsourced’ Discretionary Investment Management team. This means as part of our fiduciary duty, our obligation to always act in your best interests, the service impacts you directly and immediately.

We’ve uploaded performance charts demonstrating the above to your IronMarket App & online portal. As always, we’d encourage you to speak with your Financial Adviser should you wish to discuss further. However simple or complex your query may seem, again, that’s what we’re here for.
